Hi there! My name is Edna Cervantes. I graduated from Lopez High School in '04 and The University of Texas at Brownsville (now UTRGV) in '08 with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. Throughout my undergraduate career I completed various internships at UTMB as a pre-med student, University of Arizona in a prostate cancer research lab, University of Michigan in Human genetics and bio-statistics lab and had been accepted to NIH in Maryland for a post-baccalaureate internship. I have previously taught Biology and Physics here at Rivera ECHS. Throughout my teaching career I have attended S.T.E.M and C.A.S.T conferences which taught me to become an inventive educator to better serve my students. I have been teaching for 9 years and have enjoyed every year meeting new students, helping and motivating them to be successful.
